Career History:
Colm spent most of his career with the Industrial Development Authority (IDA-Ireland) since joining that Government Agency in 1973. He managed a number of divisions responsible for attracting overseas owned Industry and developing Irish owned companies. In 1989-91 he became Advisor to the Taoiseach on the development and implementation of Special Development Projects. In 1994 he was appointed Executive Director of Forfas, which provided policy advice on Enterprise and Science at agency and national level as well as coordinating the activities of IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and Science Foundation Ireland. Since 2003 Colm has provided advice to Irish and overseas organisations.
Qualifications
M. Econ. Sc in Marketing, Finance and Business Administration, University College Dublin.
M. Phil in History of Irish Art, Trinity College Dublin.
FCCA, Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
