About the role

Overall Purpose of The Role

The role of Housing Officer within Clanmil Ireland takes responsibility for providing a generic, customer focused, Housing Management service to our tenants.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Housing & Property Manager, the post-holder will contribute to the efficient delivery of housing management services, through the provision of effective housing systems and procedures.

The post-holder will be required to ensure our housing management services are provided to a standard which is compliant with all regulations and relevant legislation, and delivered in accordance with the requirements of Clanmil Ireland’s policies and procedures.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have relevant experience and proven track record of working in a social housing and/or property management, including a demonstrable knowledge of managing housing across a diverse portfolio.

Experience of managing social rented housing (or similar), including the management of rent accounts, delivering a responsive repairs service, managing void properties, and working with IT systems, are some of the skills required to undertake the requirements of the role.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Knowledge of social housing management, including the technical knowledge in relation to the management of a portfolio of housing stock
  • Experience of working in a customer focused and customer facing role, and with excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to produce reports and write letters
  • A professional qualification in housing would be desirable, or experience in housing management
